Car LED bulbs mean that the light sources inside and outside the car using LED technology for external and internal lighting. External lighting involves thermal limit and EMC issues, as well as many complex criteria for unloaded load testing. LED car lights can be widely used to create a car interior environment, with a service life of 50,000 hours. The structure of the LED is sturdy and not easily affected by vibration, and the light output brightness will not drop significantly during use. LED car lights are suitable for various lighting applications in automotive electronics, including LED car headlights(high beam and low beam), fog lights, tail lights, brake lights, turn signals, daytime running lights, pedal lights, instrument lights, License plate lights, door lights, interior lights, width lights, navigation, entertainment systems, backlights and indicators, etc.
In automotive applications, LEDs are mainly used for exterior and interior lighting. Exterior lighting involves thermal limits and EMC issues, as well as many complex criteria for unloaded load testing, such as whether the voltage is 40V, 60V, 80V, or 100V. LED driver circuits must meet the stringent requirements of automotive EMC specifications. For LEDs driven by high-efficiency, inductive switching regulators, meeting the above requirements is somewhat difficult, and all precautions will add to the cost of the overall solution. In the field of exterior lighting applications, headlamps, fog lamps and indicators are the target applications.
Due to the advantages of LEDs, LEDs can be widely used to create a comfortable environment in the car, such as instrument lighting, pedal lighting, navigation chart lights, rear fog lights, rear brakes and indicators, and used to display car "entertainment". The color-mixing backlighting and mood lighting of flat-panel displays for "information" will further increase the application of LEDs.
